Overcoming the Struggle: Finding Hope in Romans 8:18
As believers, we all go through struggles and hardships in life. It’s a part of the human experience. But it’s important to remember that we are not alone in our struggles and that there is hope to be found in the midst of them. In this post, we’ll take a look at Romans 8:18 and two other verses that provide encouragement and hope for when we are going through difficult times.
Take your Bible out and read/study these verses for yourself. Because the Power is in seeing and Hearing God’s words.
“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” (Romans 8:18)
This verse reminds us that the struggles and hardships we face in this life are temporary and that they will one day be replaced with eternal glory. It’s important to keep this perspective in mind when we’re going through difficult times.
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us” (2 Corinthians 4:7)
This apostle Paul reminds us that, as believers, we have the treasure of the gospel within us, but we carry it in fragile, human bodies. It reminds us that our strength and power come from God, not ourselves.
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28)
Again Paul reminds us that, even when we can’t understand what’s happening in our lives, we can trust that God is working everything together for our good and for His glory.
The Take Away
When we’re going through difficult times, it’s easy to feel alone and hopeless. But as believers, we have the hope of the gospel and the promise that God is working everything together for our good. Let these verses remind you that you’re not alone in your struggles and that there is hope to be found in the midst of them.
