In a world filled with chaos and darkness, the gospel of Jesus Christ remains the only truth that guides our lives. And in our day-to-day lives, we must focus on what is good, and the only source of good in this wicked world is the word of God. In Philippians 4:8-9 the apostle Paul makes it so clear what we are to be thinking about on a daily basis.
‘Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.’
Philippians 4:8
Remember, the only place we can find the “good” things mentioned in the verse above is in and through His word (the Bible).
As believers, we can not look to anything this evil world has to offer as a source of truth, we will always be led astray and have no hope. Instead, let’s meditate daily on the Word of God and His promises. By doing so, we will experience the peace of God, guarding our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
