Many in Christendom struggle daily with maintaining their salvation… Horrors!
Never knowing what sin will be the one that finally separates you from the love of God is not Christianity, it’s called legalism. Horrors of Horrors! And shame on those trumpeting that false teaching, it is from the pit of hell.
It’s called religion and it’s not at all what God has so clearly laid out for His plan of salvation for mankind today.
…you are not under the law but under grace. – Romans 6:14
From the Lord Himself…during His earthly ministry. Jesus makes it crystal clear that once you are His (believe the gospel) NOTHING can separate us from Him.
‘All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.’
-John 6:37
If you believe the gospel you are His and He will never cast you out. God said it, believe it.
Don’t fall for the false teaching that you can wiggle your way out of the hands of God. Or that God will cast you out for any reason. That would be calling God a liar.
READ THE VERSE AND READ IT AGAIN.
‘All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.’
-John 6:37
The Lord of Glory said in His earthly ministry that anybody that God the Father has chosen, that God the Father has elected, that God the Father has given to His Son, Jesus Christ, by no means be cast out.
It means what it says. Do you believe God? Or man? Now, let’s look at John Chapter 10. This isn’t my idea or what some Church father dreamed up, this is from the Lord Jesus Himself.
‘My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.’
John 10:27-28
The next time someone tells you that you can lose your salvation point them to the verse above and John 6:37. If they deny the words of the Lord then walk away and pray for their salvation.
Let’s go directly to Paul and Romans 8 where he builds on the foundation the Lord laid during His earthly ministry of “ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED”.
‘Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.’
Romans 8:33-39
It comes down to faith. Believing what God has says.
