Colossians 1:20

“And having made peace (by defeating sin, Satan, and even death) through the blood of his cross, by Him (the Lord Jesus Christ is the One Who finished the work of the cross) to reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth or things in heaven.”

In other words, Christ is preeminent above everything because of the death burial, and resurrection. And in spite of Adam’s fall, sin, and the curse God has poured out His love by sending His only Son, Jesus Christ, to go the way of the cross paying in full the cost of sin fulfilling the will of God. Reconciling everything back to Himself but mankind does not appropriate God’s free gift of salvation until they believe the gospel by faith alone.
