Zion, Truth, and the War Against God’s Covenant — Part 2
In Part 1, we established clear definitions. Zion is the land chosen by God. Zionism is the restoration of the Jewish people to their ancestral homeland. Anti-Zionism is opposition to that restoration.
With definitions established, the next step is to apply logic.
Because when definitions are clear, conclusions become unavoidable.
There is a simple test—one that exposes the true nature of the hostility directed toward Israel.
It is the logical test.
Every Nation Has the Right to Exist
There are nearly 200 nations in the world today. Most exist as the national homeland of a particular people group.
Japan exists as the homeland of the Japanese people.
France exists as the homeland of the French people.
Egypt exists as the homeland of the Egyptian people.
China exists as the homeland of the Chinese people.
This principle is universally accepted.
No global movements exist demanding the elimination of Japan.
No protests fill the streets calling for the dismantling of France.
No international campaigns exist demanding the destruction of Egypt.
The existence of these nations is considered normal, legitimate, and unquestioned.
Their right to exist is assumed.
Israel Is Treated Differently
Israel is the only nation on earth whose very existence is routinely questioned.
Not merely criticized.
Questioned.
There is a profound difference between criticizing a government’s policies and denying a nation’s right to exist at all.
Every nation on earth faces criticism.
But only Israel faces widespread calls for its elimination.
This distinction is critical.
The issue is not policy.
The issue is existence.
Criticism Is Not the Same as Elimination
Every government makes decisions that can be debated, criticized, or opposed.
Israel is no exception.
Legitimate criticism addresses specific actions, leaders, or policies.
But anti-Zionism goes beyond criticism.
It challenges the legitimacy of Israel itself.
It does not say, “This policy is wrong.”
It says, “This nation should not exist.”
These are fundamentally different positions.
One seeks reform.
The other seeks removal.
The Double Standard
This raises a simple but unavoidable question.
Why is the Jewish nation uniquely singled out for elimination?
Why is Jewish self-determination considered illegitimate, while every other nation’s self-determination is considered legitimate?
This is the logical test.
If the principle of national self-determination is valid, it must apply equally.
If it applies to all nations except one, that exception reveals discrimination.
Israel is that exception.
The Jewish people are that exception.
Israel’s Connection to the Land Is Older Than Most Nations
Israel’s connection to the land is not recent. It is ancient.
Long before most modern nations existed, Israel existed.
Scripture records God’s covenant with Abraham nearly 4,000 years ago.
Genesis 15:18
“On the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying: ‘To your descendants I have given this land…’”
The Jewish people lived in the land for centuries.
Jerusalem became their capital nearly 3,000 years ago under King David.
Even after exile and dispersion, Jewish identity remained inseparably connected to Zion.
For thousands of years, Jewish prayers ended with the words:
“Next year in Jerusalem.”
This was not the language of colonizers.
It was the language of a displaced people longing for their home.
Israel’s Modern Restoration Was Foretold in Scripture
The modern restoration of Israel was not unforeseen.
God declared it long before it happened.
Ezekiel 36:24
“For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.”
This prophecy described exactly what would occur.
The Jewish people would be scattered among the nations (in unbelief).
Then God would regather them.
Then He would restore them to their land.
This is precisely what the world witnessed in modern history.
Israel’s existence today is not an accident.
It is the fulfillment of prophecy.
The Spiritual Reality Behind the Double Standard
Scripture also reveals something deeper.
Israel is not merely another nation.
Israel is central to God’s redemptive plan.
Zechariah 12:3
“And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces…”
This verse foretells a future reality in which Jerusalem becomes the focal point of global tension.
Not because of politics alone.
But because of God’s covenant purposes.
The hostility toward Israel is not merely political.
It is prophetic.
The Logical Conclusion
When the logical test is applied, the conclusion becomes clear.
If every nation has the right to exist except Israel, then the issue is not political consistency.
It is selective opposition.
Israel is singled out.
The Jewish people are singled out.
This reveals that the hostility toward Israel is fundamentally different from ordinary political disagreement.
It is unique.
And Scripture foretold that it would be.
Final Summary
Israel is not merely another nation among nations.
It is the covenant land promised by God.
It is the ancestral homeland of the Jewish people.
It is the nation uniquely singled out for elimination.
This reality exposes the double standard at the heart of anti-Zionism.
It also confirms the truth of Scripture.
Because long ago, God declared that Jerusalem would become a heavy stone for all peoples.
That day has come.
In Part 3, we will expose how Zionism was deliberately redefined—and how language itself became a weapon in the war against truth.

a very heavy stone
