This is How Christianity Began – True or False

The Traditional “Christianity” Narrative

Christianity began with the appearance of John the Baptist, proclaiming the coming of Jesus Christ the Savior of the world. After John’s announcement, Jesus performed many miracles, chose twelve disciples who preached the gospel to many, baptizing them, and adding believers to the church. Jesus chose Peter as the leader of the Apostles and the church. The Jewish leadership rejected Jesus’ claims and conspired with the Romans to arrest and crucify Christ. After His crucifixion, Jesus rose from the dead and commanded his disciples to spread the gospel throughout the world. At the same time, one of Christianity’s greatest opponents was a rabbi named Saul. While on the road to Damascus to arrest Christians, God confronted Saul and saved him and Saul of Tarsus became known as the Apostle Paul. Paul joined Peter and the other apostles and preached the gospel, baptizing, performing miracles and adding new believers to the church around the world.

About Mesa Bible Study

Mesa Bible Study provides weekly Bible classes Tuesday and Thursday's. Our goal is to help believers grow more mature in the Word of God. So they can confidently share the gospel in and out of season. All believers are given a ministry of reconciliation! All mankind has already been reconciled to God through Jesus Christ and the work of the cross. 2 Corinthians 5:18-21. God is pleading with us (believers) to share the gospel! This is powerful stuff, and we want to build the confidence of believers so they can go out and share with a fallen world the message of God's grace.
