Faith Under Pressure

A Psalm 27 Devotional Series

Open Bible under heavenly light with a narrow path ahead, representing faith in the Lord during seasons of pressure.

Believers are under tremendous pressure today.

Many are weary. Many are burdened. Many are facing grief, fear, uncertainty, spiritual warfare, family strain, financial pressure, health concerns, loneliness, and long seasons of waiting.

For many, it feels like the pressure never fully lifts.

Psalm 27 speaks directly to the many in this daily battle.

📖

David did not write as a man untouched by trouble. He knew enemies. He knew danger. He knew rejection. He knew abandonment, He knew fear. From the heartache of losing his son, to the sorrow of dealing with his sins— King David knew what it meant to cry out to the Lord and wait for His answer.

Yet through it all, his faith shines.

➡ How to Use This Series

  • Read each devotional in order.
This series is designed to be read in order because each devotional builds on the verses before and after it. Psalm 27 is not a collection of disconnected thoughts. David moves from confidence, to danger, to worship, to prayer, to waiting, and finally to reliance on the Lord.
  • Pay attention to the context and connection.
Each devotional helps connect the verse to the surrounding passage so you can see how the whole chapter fits together. As you walk through Psalm 27 slowly, you’ll be edified, encouraged, and strengthened in what it means to have Faith Under Pressure.
  • Follow the reading plan in each devotional.
Each part includes a short reading plan to help you stay in the Word throughout the week.
  • Meditate on the accompanying Scriptures.
Do not rush through the verses. Read them slowly. Think on them. Let the Word of God steady your heart and strengthen your faith.
  • Share this series with others who need encouragement.
Many believers are under tremendous pressure. If this series encourages you, consider sharing it with someone who may need to be reminded that the Lord is greater than the pressure.
