Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
II Corinthians 5:17
Every believer will have an instant change of appetite, a change of lifestyle, a change in behavior, a change in attitude. Why? Because we are a new person, the “old Adam” or the sin nature (Romans 5:12) we are all born with has passed away. Now that does not make Christians sinless nor will we be walking around with a halo over our heads. But now, as a result of our faith alone in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ (the gospel). God moved in began a work (Philippians 1:6) in us by transforming us, making us a “new creation”.
1. 2 Corinthians 5:17

and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,
3. Ephesians 2:13

4. Romans 6:11
Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
5. Colossians 1:21-22
‘And you (believers), who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works (before salvation we were slaves of sin and in the domain of darkness Colossians 1:13), yet now (in spite of our sin God saved us because we believed by faith alone in the finished work of the cross…and) He (God) has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless (God no longer sees our old Adam or sin nature), and above reproach in His sight (God sees only Christ righteousness in us 2 Corinthians 5:21) — ‘
